The best Lovable alternatives depend on what you want instead. For the same chat-to-app experience with different limits, look at Bolt, v0, Replit or Base44. For more control over design, look at Figma Make or Bubble, and for a real codebase, Cursor or Claude Code.
To keep the project on your own computer, look at Dyad or Cyborb, a desktop AI agent from Orbioom. Cyborb is our product, so it gets the same fields as every other tool and no ranking. Every price below comes from the vendor’s own page, checked on September 28, 2026.
- Bolt, v0, Replit and Base44 work most like Lovable. All have free plans, and entry paid plans cost $20 to $30 a month.
- Figma Make starts next to your designs, and Bubble gives you a visual editor, but Bubble apps cannot leave Bubble.
- Dyad and Cyborb, our product, keep the project as ordinary files on your computer, so there is nothing to export later.
- Cursor and Claude Code suit people ready to read code, from $20 a month.
- To switch, move the code through GitHub and export Lovable Cloud data separately.
Why do people look for a Lovable alternative?
People usually look beyond Lovable for one of four reasons: credits run out, they want the code somewhere else, they worry about the built-in backend, or the price stops fitting. Here is what Lovable’s own pages say, as of September 2026.
Credits. The free plan gives 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month. Pro costs $25 a month for 100 monthly credits on top of that daily grant, and unused monthly credits roll over for one month.
Code. Lovable says you own your code. Two-way GitHub sync works on every plan, while downloading the code directly needs a paid plan.
Backend. Lovable Cloud is the built-in service for your database, logins and files. Lovable’s docs say there is “no one-click migration” from it to your own Supabase project.
Price. Business costs $50 a month and adds single sign-on and internal publishing.
None of these is a flaw on its own. They are trade-offs, and the right alternative depends on which one bothers you.
Lovable alternatives at a glance
Checked on September 28, 2026, on each vendor’s pricing page or docs, linked from its name. Prices are for one person, billed monthly unless the table says otherwise.
| Tool | What you get instead | Free plan | Entry paid plan | Taking the code |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lovable | The baseline | 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month | Pro, $25 a month | GitHub sync on all plans; download on paid plans |
| Bolt | Same idea, priced in tokens | 1M tokens a month, 300K a day | Pro, $25 a month | Zip download or two-way GitHub sync |
| v0 | Same idea, built for React and Vercel | $5 of credits, 7 messages a day | Plus, $30 per user a month | Two-way GitHub sync |
| Replit | Same idea, with a full code workspace | Daily agent credits; 1 published app for 30 days | Core, $20 a month ($18 yearly) | Zip download or GitHub |
| Base44 | Same idea, backend built in | 25 message credits a month | Starter, $20 a month ($16 yearly) | GitHub sync from Builder, $50 a month |
| Figma Make | Building next to your designs | A trial on free plans | Full seat, from $16 a month | Zip download; one-way push to GitHub |
| Bubble | A visual editor | Build free, no live site | Starter, $59 a month billed yearly | No code export; data as CSV |
| Dyad | Local and open source | Free with your own AI keys | Pro, $20 a month | Files on your computer |
| Cyborb (ours) | A local desktop agent | 3 published sites, metered use | Pro, $20 a month ($18 yearly) | Files on your computer |
| Cursor | A real codebase, in an AI editor | Limited agent requests | Pro, $20 a month | Files on your computer |
| Claude Code | A real codebase, with Anthropic’s agent | Not on Claude’s free plan | Claude Pro, $20 a month ($17 yearly) | Files on your computer |
Each tool counts usage in its own unit: credits, tokens, dollars of credit or messages. That is why $25 on one builder does not buy the same amount of building as $25 on another.
Which Lovable alternative works the same way?
Bolt, v0, Replit and Base44 work most like Lovable: you describe an app in a chat, the tool builds and hosts it, and you keep editing in plain words. The differences are the pricing unit, the code they write and how you take it with you.
Builds and hosts full apps in the browser and charges in tokens, the small chunks of text an AI model reads and writes. Pro starts at 10M tokens a month, and unused tokens roll over. Bolt’s help center documents importing a Lovable project through GitHub, which makes it the easiest switch.
Vercel’s builder writes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, a stack many developers already use. GitHub sync is included on the free plan, and v0 ships changes through branches and pull requests. Pick it if developers will take over the code later.
A full online coding workspace with an agent, so you can see and edit every file. Everyday agent work runs in a no-cost Free Mode up to an allowance, and bigger jobs are priced by effort from your monthly credits. Our Replit alternatives guide covers the rest of its trade-offs.
Builds apps with a database, logins and hosting included, much like Lovable Cloud. Two-way GitHub sync starts on the Builder plan. Base44’s docs run the synced code against its own backend service, so leaving Base44 means replacing that backend.
Which Lovable alternative gives you more design control?
Figma Make suits people who start from a design, and Bubble suits people who want to arrange every screen by hand. Both trade some portability for that control.
Figma’s AI app builder lives inside Figma and can publish what it builds to the web. It needs a Full seat on a paid plan, from $16 a month, with a trial on other plans. You can download the code as a zip or push it to GitHub, but the push is one way: edits made on GitHub do not come back.
A visual no-code platform for web and mobile apps. The free plan is for building only, and a live website starts at $59 a month billed yearly. Bubble says its apps have “no traditional codebase to export”, though your data exports as CSV files.
If you mainly need a marketing site rather than an app, Framer and Webflow belong in this group too. Our AI website builders comparison covers them.
Which Lovable alternative runs locally?
Dyad and Cyborb, our product, both run as desktop apps and keep your project as ordinary files on your machine. There is nothing to export later, because the code never lived anywhere else.
A free app builder for your desktop, open source under the Apache 2.0 license apart from its Pro features. You bring your own API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google, or run local models through Ollama. Pro costs $20 a month and Max $79 for Dyad’s own AI credits. When we checked GitHub on September 28, 2026, the latest release was v1.17.0, from that same day, with builds for macOS, Windows and Linux.
A desktop AI agent that writes your app as code on your computer, runs it until the tests pass, and can publish it to a cyborb.app address with hosting included. It runs its own models or drives your Claude, Codex, Cursor or Grok account. Free includes 3 published sites, and Pro adds custom domains. It is in public beta: macOS builds are signed and notarized, while Windows and Linux are unsigned betas.
Which Lovable alternative gives you a real codebase?
Cursor and Claude Code suit people who are ready to read and review code, because they work inside a normal project folder instead of a hosted builder.
Cursor is an AI code editor. Its free Hobby plan includes limited agent requests, and Pro costs $20 a month.
Claude Code is Anthropic’s coding agent. It comes with Claude Pro, at $20 a month or $17 billed yearly, and with Max, but not with the free plan.
With either one, hosting, the database and login become your choices. Our guides to adding login safely and shipping an MVP in a weekend cover those steps, and Claude Code alternatives lists more tools in this group.
Is there a free alternative to Lovable?
Yes. Dyad is free if you bring your own AI keys, and Bolt, v0, Replit, Base44, Cursor and Cyborb all have free plans with smaller limits.
Google AI Studio’s Build mode is another free route. It builds web apps from a prompt and can publish up to two of them on Google Cloud’s Starter Tier without a billing account. If you need a website rather than an app, our ChatGPT Sites alternatives guide covers free ways to publish one.
Free plans cap different things. Bolt limits tokens per day, v0 limits messages per day, and Replit’s free plan keeps one published app online for 30 days. If you are not sure you need an app at all, our guide to building an app without coding helps you scope it first.
How do you move a project off Lovable?
Move the code through GitHub, export the Lovable Cloud data separately, and keep the old app running until the new one works. These steps come from Lovable’s docs.
Connect GitHub
A workspace admin adds a GitHub connection once, under Workspace settings > Git > GitHub. Then open Project settings > Git > GitHub and click Connect. Lovable creates a private repository and keeps it in two-way sync. GitLab and Bitbucket work too.
Export your Cloud data
Go to More > Cloud > Overview > Advanced settings, then click Export data. The file holds your full database, including user accounts with their password hashes, but not stored files, Edge Function code or secrets.
Open the code in the new tool
Bolt, v0 and Replit can import a GitHub repository. Desktop tools such as Cursor or Claude Code work on the folder once you clone it.
Switch only when the new version works
Test with real data before you move the domain. Our export guide has the step-by-step for every major builder, including domains.
FAQ
What is the best alternative to Lovable?
There is no single best one. For the same experience, Bolt is the closest match and documents an import from Lovable. For React code that developers will keep, v0. To work on your own computer, Dyad or Cyborb. For a real codebase, Cursor or Claude Code.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Lovable?
On list prices, Replit Core and Base44 Starter cost $20 a month against $25 for Lovable Pro, and Dyad is free with your own AI keys. But each tool meters usage in its own unit, so run the same brief on two free plans before you decide.
Which Lovable alternative lets me own the code?
Owning and exporting are different things. Lovable, Base44 and Bubble all say you own what you build, yet Bubble has no code to export. Bolt, v0, Replit and Base44 (from its Builder plan) let you take the code through GitHub or a download, and local tools keep the files on your computer from the start.
Can I move a Lovable project to Bolt?
Yes. Bolt’s help center documents it: sync the Lovable project to GitHub, then import that repository from the Bolt homepage. Lovable Cloud data does not travel with the code, so export it separately.
