Pika’s free plan comes with no monthly credits, so you buy packs, and Grok’s plans page shows no prices without signing in.

How do you avoid paying twice for AI?
Check what your current subscriptions already include before adding one, because the big bundles now cover much of what people buy separately.
Claude Pro includes Claude Code, and ChatGPT Plus includes Codex, so light coding may not need a separate plan.
Microsoft 365 Personal, at $9.99, includes Copilot in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Google AI Pro bundles Gemini, 1,000 Flow credits for AI video, the Jules and Antigravity coding agents, 5 TB of storage and YouTube Premium Lite.
Multi-model tools overlap single-model ones. Runway’s plans include Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana Pro, Luma’s include third-party image and video models, and Adobe Firefly offers models from Adobe, Google and others.
The overlap adds up. ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Google AI Pro, Cursor Pro and Midjourney Standard together cost $109.99 a month, or $1,319.88 a year. Many people can cover the same ground with one assistant and one specialist tool; our solo founder AI stack shows a lean setup.
Is yearly billing worth it?
Yes, for a tool you already use every week: across the 18 tools where we could compare a monthly and a yearly price, paying yearly saves 10% to 51%. We ran the numbers from the vendors’ pages.
In between, Krea saves 40%, Descript 33% and Ideogram 25%, while Claude, Microsoft 365, Notion, Luma and HeyGen save about 17%.
If you pay per token instead of per month, the math is different; our LLM API pricing comparison covers it, and cutting your AI bill covers the discounts.
